NOVY TARG

The event took place in Nowy Targ and the surrounding areas of the Polish Tatras and was organized by the Polish partner school in close cooperation with the Czech applicant. The event focused on the use of drones in tourism, mountain safety and environmental awareness. A total of 29 students and 4 teachers from each school participated. Students attended preparatory workshops on basic drone navigation in their home schools. Teachers from both partner institutions collaborated on the preparation of shared lectures and training materials in English.The first day of the visit was dedicated to arrival, team-building and an introduction to the use of drones in tourism, mainly legislature. On the second day, students visited Tatra NP museum and took part in the first guided mountain hike in Kościelisko valley, focusing on orientation trail marking and responsible behavior in protected natural areas.

The third day included a second mountain hike in Kasprowy vierch and a visit to a mountain rescue center, where students learned about rescue operations with the use of modern technologies including drones in searching for lost tourists. The group also visited the Gubałówka area to observe tourism infrastructure and its impact on the natural environment.

The fourth day focused on a practical drone navigation competition and supervised drone flights. Additional workshops on tourist signage and environmental protection helped students understand sustainable tourism principles. The final day evaluation and trip to Krakow took place.
